Wednesday, November 15, 2006 2:33 PM Hey yea! A lil update from me yup! Went to Marine Parade with Andre on Monday, in search of the traditional kaya toast. But the shop was close la. So we settled our breakfast at some kopitiam which sells really nice Chinese carrot cake!! Ahhh.... So after which, he brought me to his old house street. That place was really different. It's as if you're at another country cause the ubiquitous view of HDB flats was outta sight! So yup, the whole stretch was those old types of really small terrace houses. Some were so planty that for a moment I thought I was in Botanic Garden. There were some really modern one too, but it's such a waste for nice houses to be surrounded by ugly ones. But they DO stand out. Haha! Yeah, slowly, we made our way to Marine Parade Library. It was great! Except... for the old people there. I really think library should invest on a kind of sensor to ban those people. =X Dah dah dah. One great thing not to miss when you come to Katong is definitely the food! So yea, we went for a late lunch and on our way, we caught sight of this really interesting cafe. And they were recruiting people! So after our studies, we went in to inquire for more information. The guy gave us each a 3-page long thingie to fill up. =.= And the information required just made us feel awkward. Like, "What qualification do you have?" Errr... PSLE? And "What's your hobbies and interests?" Errr.. baking? Andre put EATING la! =.= Yupp, afterwhich we had a really short interview with that guy. It was rather informal la. Blah blah blah. Oh, we also walked past one alley, it had amazing houses! Underground houses!! Amazing right?! I have never seen underground houses in Singapore in my entire life before! Have you?! On our way back, we just kept swirling. And swirling. And swirllinnngg... |
