Sunday, November 12, 2006 8:21 PM Yes, we made a deal to go to Bedok Library on a very fine Saturday morning. There were Jiayi, Peiwen and Taariq. However, all except me were late. So there were influx of messages asking each other's whereabout, their progress to the library and of course, ask me to help them chope seats. Incident 1
Mind you, her friend was worse than her. Fat, but still wore tight jeans and not-so-big tshirt. So the moment she moves about, you could see her jiggling fats! Moreover, she wore a PUREMILK (or some cutesy brand tshirt) and came with her TWO PONYTAILS! OMG! I think Irritating!!! However, I almost laugh off my chair when the security came over and told her that sleeping is not allowed in the library. Yeah! She looked so embarassed, cause the security was rather loud. Within an hour or so (or even lesser than that?) , she couldn't study anymore and left the library. Wah lao. What the hell?! Incident 3 Right from the start, a peaceful morning, peiwen and me got bombed. A silent killer first. Then later on the day, I heard 2 explosions. What could be the cause? Elderly eating too much rotten baked beans. Incident 4Bedok library is so weird. For a few minutes or so, there would be drama here and there. So the first drama was this uncle reading newspaper. Then suddenly we heard another uncle talking rather not friendly to that reading one. He said something like, "I've been taking note of the time, you're reading too long! You must let others read right. If you want to read, buy la, can't even afford that 70cents? It's 70 cents only." He just kept on emphasising that 70cents. Which is wrong, cause straits times cost 80cents. The reading guy didn't say anything, he just excused himself and let the guy to read. We thought like, aiyar no more drama liao. So we went back to our work. Within 2 minutes, we heard his voice again. "See, let people who only want to read it fast, read. See, I'm done, so fast." What the hell?! Incident 5 It's 2pm, loy, jy and Taariq were hungry. So they went out to have lunch. Clock was ticking away and I'm so scared that security would chase them out. In the midst of my worry, I heard another commotion. It was this auntie trying to look for a chair cause the newspaper section was missing one chair. Then I saw the security around me. I'm not too sure what happened before that, but the moment I knew, it was this guy screaming at the security. He said something like, "I've been noticing them, the seats were empty for 30 minutes already! And nobody is using the chair, just go and take the chair" He instructed the auntie and by then my heart was already pumping hard, cause I know he's referring to loy's and jy's seats. The security helped to defend the chairs, he mentioned that the missing chair was taken to the other lounge and those chairs were meant to for the table. In addition he added that it wouldn't be very nice to just take people's chair, at least wait for their return. That angry guy was really fumed, he rebuked that why were the staff letting this kind of things going on? And why the standard was dropping or something. He even mentioned that he had already complained to the staff at the counter. So security answered "That's why I'm sent over here." Whatever it was, the auntie took loy's chair away in the end and used it to read newspaper. I'm like, ohh.. shit.. I don't believe that skinny people would take so long to eat too. But yes they do. One and a half hours later before their return. But the chair was already returned back when the auntie finished her reading. Cafe chairs were also brought up to fill up the missing gap. Happy ending! Incident 6 The rest were more about ourselves, like we girls were laughing too loud in the toilet that the library users in the lounge were shaken from their work. (that was according to Mr Chew, and he said that we were VERY loud, but we still don't think so!). The embarassing thing was, we were talking about girls stuff. =X Burning faces! Oh then we also tried the Physics thingie put up at the lib lobby, and we got so hooked onto the puzzles!! I think we spent another hour or so before we literally left the lib. And then blah blah. Went to buy sushi, blah blah. HOME SWEET HOME! P.S: Bedok Lib is infested with elderly! |
